Admission procedures

The admission and reservations' service is at your disposal to help you prepare your stay at the Clinique des Grangettes. This page will steer you through the practical and administrative formalities. If you do have any questions, however, do not hesitate to contact us.

Preparing your stay

Usually, your treating physician will consult with you to determine the dates of your stay at the Clinique des Grangettes. Once that has been set, we will begin the procedures to welcome you. We are available for any information you might need ahead of your stay. The day of your hospitalisation, simply come to the reception with all the required documentation.  You may visit the Admissions Office a few days prior to registering. It is in the main building and is open from Monday to Friday, 8 a.m.-6 p.m. This visit will permit you to become familiar with the Clinique, ask any questions you may have, and take care of any outstanding administrative formalities.

Documents you should present on admission to the Clinique

  • The letter we sent to confirm your reservation

  • Certification of insurance provided by your insurance scheme or a membership card

  • Personal identification (passport, ID card, family record book or a residency permit for foreigners residing in Switzerland)

  • If you are not a member of an insurance scheme recognised by our establishment, you will also be asked to make a financial deposit.

Medical documents

Please bring along your medical documents, in particular those that may be relevant to your treatment. This could avoid unnecessary examinations (X-rays, prescriptions, a list of drugs you take regularly, etc.).

Personal effects and valuables

The Clinique des Grangettes will provide you with clothing for your daily washing (robe, gowns, washing cloth and slippers). To ensure you have a comfortable stay, however, you may bring a toiletry case and, possibly, your own personal effects. Each room has a safe for your documents and valuables. You may also deposit certain valuables in the safe at the reception. You will be given a receipt, which will serve as proof of insurance. Generally speaking, it would be advisable to avoid carrying large sums of money or valuable jewelry. The Clinique declines all responsibility if unsupervised personal effects are stolen.

Accompanying adults

A bed is always reserved for a parent in the same room as young children who are hospitalised.

If at all possible, we can make a bed or a room available for an accompanying person.

Please inquire at our admissions office, where you will be given the current rates. You may contact them by telephone at 022 305 06 44.

Emergency admissions

A brief administrative registration procedure will be carried out in case of an emergency admission. Following initial examinations and care, you will then be taken to the clinical service best adapted to handle your situation. If you require hospitalisation at the Clinique, your file will be completed then.
