The first private centre for the treatment of breast cancer in Geneva

Breast cancer specialists, members of the SONGe association and the Clinique des Grangettes are pleased to announce the opening of a new breast centre on 1 November 2016. This centre, organised around these two areas of competence, will meet international quality standards.

A multidisciplinary team attentive to patient needs

The Geneva Breast Centre will offer its patients highly specialised and high-quality care thanks to its multidisciplinary team.
This team is made up of specialists including senologists, radiologists, oncologists, radiation therapists, plastic surgeons, pathologists, geneticists, specialised nurses, physiotherapists, dietitians and psychologists. These specialists are dedicated to serving each patient in a way that puts close patient care at the heart of the mission.
The centre will offer personalised support as well as quality treatments at each stage of care: diagnosis, surgery, radiotherapy, chemotherapy treatment and follow-up.
If a cancer is diagnosed in a patient, her file will be discussed at a Multidisciplinary Consultation (MDC) meeting before and after the therapy in order to develop the optimal treatment in line with international recommendations.

A highly qualified team and state-of-the-art equipment

The Geneva Breast Centre brings together a team of experienced independent physicians who have collaborated for several years in the management of breast pathologies. This medical team will have the latest technical platforms in imaging, operating theatres and radiotherapy.

Diagnosis determined in one day

The Geneva Breast Centre will allow a precise evaluation of abnormal mammograms and a diagnosis in a single day thanks to a system of care provided by the medical team.

Dedicated phone number

A phone number has been created for patients and doctors: 0800 33 11 00. It will become active on 1 November 2016. In addition, women who detect breast lesions and who do not have a family physician or gynaecologist will be able to call this number to receive a quick appointment for a one-day diagnosis.

Centre open to all patients

All outpatient services (radiology, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, specialised counselling) will be covered by the basic insurance.
In the event of hospitalisation, patients with basic insurance only can also be treated at the Geneva Breast Centre within the limits of the quotas granted by the State of Geneva.
