Gynaecological surgery with robotic assistance

Thanks to its tri-dimensional imagining and greater precision, the Da Vinci robot lets gynaecologists treat many pathologies more effectively.

A growing surgical technique

Gynaecologists are increasingly making use of the Da Vinci robot for their surgical procedures. Robot assistance allows the surgeon to widen the scope of minimally-invasive surgery in gynaecology, be that for benign pathologies (hysterectomies, myomectomies and endometriosis), or for malignancies (uterine or ovarian cancers). By facilitating access and dissection, it not only limits blood loss and reduces post-operative pain, but also means a shorter hospital stay and shorter period of recovery.
